De Tomaso manufactures two models of Guarà: coupé and barchetta. The extreme aerodynamics allows the maximum efficiency, while the mechanics is characterized by the scheme of new independent fourwheel suspensions (push-road typed) with torsion bars and adjustable vibration dampers, fibreglass and composite body in order to obtain a light but resistant frame. The name "Guarà" is that of an Argentinian breed of hunting dogs.

Leather upholstery, snug racing seats and silent air-conditioning are all peculiarities of the Guarà.

This GT car with engine gearbox and central backbone chassis made of honey-comb and integrated with the rear carrying structure can provide you with very good roadholding and ease of handling. In the front part an energy-absorber steal frame is able to guarantee the best protection to the driver. Thanks to 4600 cc, V 8 at 90° cylinders, electronic multipoint sequential fuel injection and 4 valves per cylinder, the Ford engine develops a progressive torque even at low rpm.

The main aim of this supercar is to offer an amusing and relaxing driving, which allows an high speed but at the same time a natural and immediate introduction in the bend. Customers can choose every part among several optional accessories, which sometimes are also suggested and invented by them.
