1973 - Alpine A110 1600 S

This is the Alpine A110, as introduced in 1963. The production seized in the late 70's. The first A110 was powered by 1 litre mid mounted 4 cylinder engine and by 1974 the nimble car was handling a 1.8 litre engine, with the power output varying from 51bhp to over 180bhp. The A110 was raced very succesfully, its low wieght, 620kg, and the engine location made it a good handling fast car, it beat the 911 in rallies because of this, In 1971 Alpine achieved a 1-2-3 in the Monte Carlo rally.
